TAVISTOCK ended a seven-game losing streak spread across two seasons with a 28-14 win at Dartmouth in Devon One.

Tavistock had not won a match since mid-January when they defeated St Ives 16-15, although there was a near miss against Bude (26-27) between then and now.

Dartmouth, rebuilding after a number of retirements at the end of last season, looked in better shape second time out than they did in the day one defeat by Withycombe.

Dartmouth briefly led courtesy of a Karl Caunter try but by halftime, Tavistock were 12-8 up.

Kieran Wells knocked over three penalties for the Riversiders.

Elsewhere in their division, South Molton edged out Honiton, there were 50+ point hauls for Devonport Services II and Topsham II and there were home wins for Bideford and Crediton II, overcoming Old Plymothian & Mannamedian and Ivybridge II respectively.

Dartmouth head to Withycombe in the plate on Saturday.
