A bitterly cold wind was blowing on Wednesday for the midweek circus, but that didn't deter the players and some good scores were returned.
Pete Ford's patience and practice have paid off again and for the third week running he was in the prizes with a win on the front nine on 21 points.
The back nine didn't go so well for him, though, as he only scored six points and three of those were on the 10th.
Bob Wotton yet again gets his name in the paper and matches Pete's score of 21, as did John Garner. Paul Durrant won the backnine with 19.
He wont be playing off 19 for long though, he showed his potential by getting on the 17th green in two shots against a strong wind, good hitting in anyone's book.
He might need to look at his putting technique though as he five putted from 30ft...
As Mark Lord was running the circus this week he decided to play for twos. It was most unusual, then, that not only Mark didn't score one, but nobody had a two so they were drawn out.
The lucky ones were Steve Owen, Ron Thomas Gourd and Ian Metchette.
Every now and again a ray of sushine shines down and exposes a new talent and this week he's in the form of 13-year-old Joe Turner.
His slight frame belied an exquisite swing that remained constant throughout his round and he won the monthly stableford with a cracking score of 41, well played Joe.
Having had a good long break from fishing off Lowestoft, Paul Brown has rediscovered his swing and came second with a good score of 38.
Third was David Thompson 37, fourth and getting a two as well Mark Lord 36 and fifth Bob Wotton 34. There were a further two twos from John Garner and Eugene Pillar.
