WITH some of the ladies from Dartmouth Golf Club playing in the Devon Lady Vets competition, it was a fairly small field for the medal competition back at home.
Some enjoyed the day out on the course, others were just pleased to get finished.
Katie Panton definitely enjoyed her game, recovering from a morale-sapping triple bogey on the ninth to finish with a one over par nett 76. The score gave her a handicap cut and she was joined in that club by Jodie Kenyon, who was second with 81.
Meanwhile, in Saturday’s mixed stableford for the men, Division One players had the better of the scoring.
Steve Blackie led the way with 40 points, ahead of Alan Foot on 37. Meanwhile, 34 points was the highest total in Division Two, achieved by both Colin Weedon and Barrie O’Shea with the former winning on countback.
