TWENTY-four members from Dartmouth Bowling Club visited Brixham Bowling Club at Furzeham for a six-rink mixed friendly recently.

The result ended in a win for Brixham by 120 shots to 101, and rinks win of 4-2.

The rink skipped by Jean Townsend won 20 shots to 12, and the rink skipped by Val Gregory won by 21 shots to 16.

However, the rink skipped by Peter Caddy lost by 17 shots to 22, Bill Varnam's rink lost by 19 shots to 24, the rink skipped by Peter Hannaford lost 15-25 and the rink skipped by John Tremlett lost 10-21. On Wednesday, May 9, it was the first match of the South Hams Triples League for Dartmouth's men, away to Stoke Fleming.

These matches consist of a home and away match during the season of two teams of triples. These will be matches against Stoke Fleming, Yealmpton, Kingsbridge Park and Kingsbridge Town.

The match at Stoke Fleming ended in a win for Dartmouth by 48 shots to 20 and 4-2 in points.

The triples of P Caddy won by 34 shots to 4 and the triples team skipped by R Swinden lost 14 shots to 16.
