Dartmouth Amateur Rowing club's members enjoyed a successful day out at the West of England City of Exeter Regatta recently, coming home with four first places and two seconds.
The weather was, as might have been expected, blisteringly hot, and the short course on the river Exe provided the spectators with some exciting races.
The mixed senior A team had a family feel to it, with sisters Anna and Nina Lloyd and twins Terry and Steve Wallis, plus cox Marie Dayment, beating Exeter and Exeter A into second and third place respectively.
They were joined on the top of the podium by Tess Preston, Fiona Dayment, Terry and Steve Wallis and cox Marie Dayment, who made up the victorious mixed senior B team.
The ladies' novice quad sculls combination of Nina Lloyd, Tess Preston, Fiona Dayment, Anna Lloyd and cox Marie Dayment earned victory over Bideford Blues and Exeter.
The ladies' novice double sculls pair of Tess Preston and Fiona Dayment also claimed first place.
The terrible twins Terry and Steve Wallis claimed a silver in the men's open coxless pairs and Tess Preston also grabbed a silver in the ladies' under 18 single sculls to complete a brilliant event for the club.
