DARTMOUTH picked up a point at one of their bogey grounds on Saturday, much to the satisfaction of boss Lance Worthington.
Scott Dodgson scored his third goal in two matches in the first 10 minutes, firing home from six yards.
But a late leveller denied the Darts a rare victory at Parkway, as Worthington was keen to point out.
'I'm satisfied as I don't think we've got anything at Parkway before,' he said. 'The boys battled really hard.'
Worthington revealed an ankle injury Veale picked up at the end of last year, which was initially thought to be just a sprain, was confirmed as a fracture.
'It's a big blow for us,' he said.
He was slightly disappointed that Dodgson and Lewis Robinson had not added to the Darts' tally.
But the Dartmouth manager admitted he was 'chuffed' to go in at half-time 1-0 up. At the break, Dartmouth changed their formation in a bid to cope with Parkway's marauding full-backs.
But the city outfit were not to be denied and snatched an equaliser in the final 10 minutes.
