Dartmouth Ama­teur Athletic Club member Ali McGregor took part in the Women's Running Magazine 10k series women only race at Southampton Common recently.

The race was run in perfect conditions on the gently undulating two-lap parkland course. Ali finished 137th of 271 finishers in a time of 60:21 and was happy enough to commit to return next year, although the magazine is looking to expand the series further afield, perhaps even Exeter.
