Simon Entwistle, chairman, Dartmouth RFC, writes:
Contrary to the rumour mill, Dartmouth Rugby Football Club is not about to cease to exist. It is true that last season was difficult and we were plagued by injury and a lack of players at times.
There is however a dedicated committee, and squad of players who are committed to seeing competitive rugby played in Dartmouth this season.
We would like to invite anyone who has an interest in playing senior rugby to contact us, or come to one of our training sessions. It does not matter what your ability is, and as long as you are 17 and have a wish to play, you will be welcome.
We would also like to extend the invitation to more senior players whose playing days are perhaps coming to an end but would welcome the opportunity to train for fitness reasons.
Training is on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 6pm and 7.30pm at the Norton pitches, (behind the park and ride).
If you have any interest in playing or training, please turn up or contact Les Jefferies 07961 064138
Alternatively come and watch a game at the Norton pitches. Our first home league game is against Plymouth Argum on Saturday, September 21, kick off at 3pm.
