Nicola Perrott, of Deer Combe, Stoke Fleming, writes:

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to those adults that give up so much of their time and energy to enable the youth of Dartmouth and the surrounding areas to have opportunities for challenging and often often unique experiences that will shape their future life chances.

In particular, I am thinking of the team that again facilitated the Ten Tors Challenge, Theresa Walker, Matt Pink, Phil Watson, Phil Hall, Carl Snow and Will Davis. At a time when many young people are juggling revision and exams, this team ensures there is a healthy balance between school and other activities.

I would also like to thank the dedication and commitment of those who run the Brownies and Guides groups, including organising and staffing residentials as well as a wide range of enjoyable learning activities.

All of these people enrich the lives of our children and of our wider community.
