A Work club is on the move.

For the last two years the club, which helps jobless people of all ages find work, has been based at Townstal Community Hall.

But from Friday, January 11, it will be based at the Dartmouth Library.

The move has been forced on the county council library organisers of the work club because of funding cuts.

But library assistant Liz Wilson, who has been running the club since it began, said the move would mean improved facilities for the unemployed.

'We are very excited about the move,' she said. 'It will make great use of our facilities. We have free WiFi and have 13 public PCs and we are going to help people find employment in this area.'

The Townstal-based work club met every Wednesday and the last at the community hall was this week.

The sessions at the library will be every Friday between 10am and noon.

The club offers help with searching for jobs, writing CVs, using the new Universal Jobsmatch website and completing job application forms.
