JG WENDLE, of Ringmore Drive, Bigbury-on-Sea, writes: Well done, Devon County Council, the verges have been slashed down, the wildflowers have been decimated and now the delightful detritus left by the careless and thoughtless road users has been exposed. The selfish and irresponsible behaviour of these people never ceases to amaze me, they are happy to ruin our beautiful countryside in this way but I bet that their homes are spotless.
