The three day festival starts on Friday, October 19. Elly Wentworth will be opening the festival as the newly appointed head chef at The Angel and former runner up on MasterChef: The Professionals.
Mark Hix MBE, Matt Tebbutt, Jane Baxter and Mitch Tonks also feature on the line-up of talented guest chefs showing off their skills in the Chefs’ Demonstration Kitchen by day and popping up at various venues to host a number of special supper events by night.
Entry to daytime events in the Chefs’ Demonstration Kitchen is free so get there early to secure a seat and the best chance of tasting the delicious dishes.
Over one hundred hand-picked stalls will line the streets showcasing the very best food and drink from Devon and the South West. Look out for old favourites such as Pipers Farm, Salcombe Gin and Dartmouth Fine Foods, alongside many new faces including Pretty Local, this year’s winner of our Devon Business Start-Up Award.
This year Eat Your Words moves to a new location - a stunning yurt beside the Dartmouth Visitor Centre - and tickets are free.
The popular events explore new ideas and fresh challenges within the food and drink industry, and encourage festival-goers to join in the conversation. Should we be eating less meat? How do gluten free alternatives measure up? Is the customer always right? Come and have your say!
Head to the Festival Yurt today for a new series of Meet the Producer events featuring interviews and tastings with local businesses including The Dartmoor Shepherd and Curtis Pitts Game and Venison.
Get hands-on at a kitchen workshop with Manna from Devon, develop your wine palate at a Drinks Seminar co-ordinated by The Telegraph’s Susy Atkins and unwind at the Salcombe Gin Festival Bar on the South Embankment.
Don’t forget, entry to the Festival is free. Ticketed events - for which there may be a charge - are available to book online via dartmouthfoodfestival.com
This year a small number of tickets for most events - including those shown as Sold Out online - will be sold on the day of the event at the Information Desk in the Royal Avenue Gardens.
So head down to Dartmouth for a jam-packed selection of eateries, demonstrations, tastings and great local produce this weekend.
