Now Dartmouth Town Council’s tree warden is urgently requesting a list of all trees that are subject to preservation orders from South Hams Council.
Meanwhile, inquiries are being made to find out who is behind the latest felling within a Conservation Area.
It is believed the work was done by residents of neighbouring Coombe Road and other recent unapproved major tree work has also been carried out at Longbarns, College Way.
