Mrs M Shearn, of Mayors Avenue, Dartmouth, writes: The mere hint that our treasured Dartmouth Library's future may be in jeopardy fills me with desolation. Our library is second to none – a haven of tranquillity and learning. Its inspirational staff are always upbeat, cheerful and willing to help. People of all ages frequent this unique venue, eager to learn Dartmouth has so many crucial merits, that make it such a iconic part of Devon, and one cannot contemplate our little town minus its library. The powers that be who I doubt even live in Dartmouth, and yet make vital decisions on our behalf should listen to those of us who use this vital and valued library.
