Having just enjoyed the food festival with its hordes of ­people and lovely weather,

I felt the need to write to ­congratulate the organisers.

With festivals for music, comedy, food, art and the regatta, Dartmouth is such a vibrant town and I am lucky to live in it.

So many people do such hard work and so many ­thousands from all over the country come here to enjoy it all.

Well done all those ­committees, not forgetting the all-year-round efforts of the Dartmouth Green Partnership, which does more to brighten the town than anyone.
