On the front page this week we lead with news of a new map and information board installed in Dartmouth’s Royal Avenue Gardens by the visitor centre in conjunction with the town council.

It has come under criticism from the mayor, a councillor and residents, who between them point to spelling errors; its height; and one said it posed a danger to children who might bang their heads on its sharp corners.

Our main picture shows entrants to the Rotary Club of Dartmouth’s Young Photographer competition.

Inside, we have a report on a proposal to increase the town council’s element of council tax bills, and another on an IPSO investigation into allegations made by town councillor Gina Coles.

As ever, there’s much, much news and sport inside.
