An enormous cruise liner will be returning to the South Hams this weekend after a nine-year absence.

The World, said to be the largest private residential ship on the planet, will arrive in Dartmouth on Sunday, July 21.

Cruise adviser Tricia Daniels expects people will visit the town just to see her.

Passengers will have until Tuesday, July 23, to explore the area before departing.

The residents of the ship and the captain voted to visit the seaside town.

While it has previously moored mid-river, weather forecasts have forced the ship back to Dartmouth Castle for the duration of her stay.
