Torbay Lifeboat was called out today, Monday 14, May, at 10.40am to rescue a 36’ Bavaro cabin cruiser.

The Bavaro has fouled a crab pot line north of Blackstone Rock, near Bull Rock some 3.8 miles south-east of Berry Head.

Mark Criddle, Station Coxswain of the Torbay Lifeboat said: “The cabin cruiser had left Dartmouth for Brixham. There were two people aboard.

“They got caught in a crab pot line. We towed them back in Dartmouth where the boat will be lifted and all the rope removed.

“No one was hurt.”
