The seagull which nested near the Japanese bridge in Royal Avenue Gardens has produced a chick

Her partner was close-by when briefly, she let it out from underneath her, perhaps due to the high temperatures experienced on Wednesday, July 5th.

The chick was quick to retreat to the shade of grasses and is well camouflaged again the stone, an attribute of this sometimes ground-nesting bird.
