Tomorrow Dartmouth is very lucky to be welcoming the cruise ship, Seabourn Ovation to the Castle anchorage.

This month-old prestigious ship is just fresh from her Mediterranean launch. She features stunning contemporary design, menus from a Michelin starred chef and specially commissioned entertainment by Sir Tim Rice.

Ovation will spend the summer sailing Northern European waters.

Her 600 well-heeled and pampered guests will be in Dartmouth from 8am to 5pm on Tuesday, June 5, and will be greeted and assisted by our cruise ambassador team from the DVC as well as the Town Crier. The Mayor, Rob Lyon, is expected on board to deliver the Town Plaque to the Master of the vessel.

If you are on one of the coastal walks or near the castle, she is well worth a look, as we may not see her again for some time to come.
