A spokesman for the Flavel said: “’A Plastic Ocean’ shows us the result if our carelessness and disregard for the consequences of our actions which negatively impact on marine habitats and ultimately upon us all.
“After the first sell-out screening we are delighted that The Flavel is now able to offer another opportunity to watch at this impactful and eye-opening film which not only shows us the gritty reality but also offers various strategies that we can all easily implement to significantly improve our environment.
“We live in a world of plastic. Shopping bags, drinks bottles, your toothbrush and even your clothes are among the everyday items made from plastic. But plastic isn’t fantastic, and neither is the current state of our environment.
“We produce hundreds of millions of tonnes of plastic every year and production is only increasing. Unfortunately, most of it is used only once and then thrown away.
“Supporting The Dartmouth Food Festival in their move to ban all single use plastics this film will be screened at 2:30 and 7:30pm on Saturday October, 21.at a ticket price of £5.”
