The Rotary Young Photographer competition has returned.
Rotary Club of Dartmouth’s photography competition was a great success last year and the club hopes this year will be even better.
Last year, Freya Harding and William Donaghue were the local heat winners.
The theme for this year is ‘Beauty of Nature’. Competitors must produce a portfolio of three photographs and provide a brief sentence of what each photograph represents in relation to the theme.
Imaginative interpretations are encouraged but stretching the boundaries too far is not recommended.
The competition has three age groups including 7 to 10-years-old, 11 to 13-years-old and 14 to 17-years old. All based on the age of the entrant on August 31, 2018.
There will be three sets of judging criteria-technical merit, content and composition and imagination and style.
Winners from each age group of the club competition can then go forwards to the district competition and thusly those winners can go forwards to the RIBI national competition.
Application forms can be found at the Dartmouth Rotary website.
