It never ceases to amuse me when the likes of Johnny Chick come to Dartmouth and want everything to change for them.

People like Hilary Bastone, Dick Rendall, Dave Kelland and the Bowden family, to name but a few, have worked so hard for so many years to make it such a big event, only for an outsider to tell us what is good for us.

Why can't people live and let live?

I hope the regatta goes on improving year after year and, if people want to swill cider, why not, after all it is part of Devon?
