The 142nd Stoke Fleming Village show is returning at the end of the month this year.

There is a total of 187 classes to enter from fruit and vegetables, the ‘Men Only’ baking class, an upcycled item and photography.

It will be held on Monday, August 27, on the village playing field and hall.

This year the committee has chosen ‘Regatta Fun’ for the special division including rowing, sailing, fireworks and the fair.

The show is open to all and schedules are available from outlets in Stoke Fleming, Strete Stores, Gardentime and Dartmouth Library.

Entries close at 8pm on Friday, August 24. On the day, the field will be open at 12.30pm and the show will officially be opened by Dartmouth’s town crier, Les Ellis at 2pm.

There is a full programme of entertainment ranging from jazz, storytelling, balloon modelling and face painting.

There will be displays from Ash Rescue Centre, Thorn Alpacas and Torbay Owls, plus a programme of traditional sports for children.
