Brenna Dickinson, of Kings Quay House, Clarence Street, Dartmouth, writes:

I was dismayed to read about Rob Smith's problems with the ventilation – or rather lack of – in the newly refurbished Market Cafe, Chronicle, February 10.

A lot of people in Dartmouth have expressed to me their view that the town council should do the right thing and pay for the whole cost of putting in a proper ventilation system in the cafe – the steam gets our specs so steamed up that we can't see what we're eating!

In a community spirit, to help Rob out with the £1,000 he has to come up with, I have arranged for a friend from my theatre days, Madame Fifi, to do a sponsored striptease in Dartmouth on Friday, April 6, the cafe's fifth anniversary.

Sponsorship sheets will be available soon, with all proceeds to the Market Cafe ventilation fund!

Note, you can sponsor Madame Fifi to either take it off – or keep it on!
