Having been a second home owner and a visitor to Dartmouth for over 30 years I have become used to hearing the derogatory terms often used to describe people like me. The term 'grockle' springs readily to mind. However I was saddened to read the depth to which Pamela Green sank Friday, September 27, when she described such people as 'flying pigs and little green men'. The use of such pejorative language says nothing about visitors like me but a great deal about Pamela Green.

When will the residents of Dartmouth wake up to the fact that without such people the commercial life of Dartmouth would cease to exist?
