Cruise ship passengers were given a sunny welcome when they arrived in Dartmouth last Thursday.
Blue skies greeted around 250 guests aboard the Aegean Odyssey, making her third successive annual visit to the port on Thursday, June 21.
Town crier Lez Ellis, accompanied by his consort Liz, gave an heraldic greeting on the harbour jetty, while cruise ship ambassadors from the Dartmouth Visitor Centre were on hand to give out maps and provide information about the town.
Passengers enjoyed various trips to Totnes, Buckfast Abbey, Slapton and Greenway as well as exploring the shops of Dartmouth.
Owned and operated by Voyages to Antiquity, the Aegean Odyssey was originally built as a Greek ferry before undergoing a conversion to a cruise ship in the 1980s.
She now carries 350 passengers eager to understand more about the history and culture of the areas they visit, which is enhanced by onboard lectures and local tours.
She arrived in Dartmouth from Falmouth and set sail later in the day for Honfleur, France.
