A PLAN for a giant wind turbine on a prominent hillside in the South Hams countryside is expected to bring a large turnout to next month's meeting of Dittisham Parish Council.

If approved, the structure would be more than double the height of the prominent Smeaton's Tower landmark on Plymouth Hoe.
It is one of four possible turbines which may be erected within a mile of the village.
