YOUNGSTERS have been learning to get on their bikes.
The pupils from Stoke Fleming Primary School's hazel class have been taking part in a Bikeability scheme – the 21st century equivalent of the cycling proficiency training.
The children completed a week-long training scheme to win their level one or level two Bikeability awards.
The level two section is designed to give the youngsters real-life cycle experience so they can feel confident enough to cope with traffic on short journeys – such as cycling to school and back.
Specially qualified instructors from Plymouth taught the children to understand and then demonstrate tricky manoeuvres.
