DG PENGELLY, of North Embankment, Dartmouth, writes:
Our harbour authority is quick in its claims to attracting the cruising enthusiasts to Dartmouth but there is always another side to any coin – the 'cruise ship' Theresa being the latest example.
This unsightly hulk has graced our precious Dartmouth waters for all the peak holiday weeks and has been moored on Dartmouth's show North Embankment for more than a month with no signs of being moved.
No matter, it seems that it is the show place for countless thousands of valued visitors who regularly promenade to the North Embankment.
Or is it intended to be a memorial to its ancient predecessor – Coombe Mud, a dumping ground for centuries of similarly rotting hulks?
