Chestnuts were roasted by Rotary in the gardens today.

Dartmouth Rotary took their usual spot to roast chestnuts for the Christmas shoppers in Dartmouth. Crowds were replaced by the odd passerby but the junction at Duke Street, Fairfax and Royal Avenue Gardens was well-staffed with yellow-jacketed Rotary volunteers.

No donation was specified to get your bag of warm chestnuts but 31 coins seemed to be the order of the day. Funds raised will go towards Rotary’s many good causes.
