I read with interest your story by Steve Peacock regarding the BRNC and that the first and only time they exercised the Freedom of the Town, until last month, was in February 1956, Chronicle, October 4.

As my mum's late husband, Ronald Galloway, was in that parade that day as he was in the marine band.

We were wondering if anybody in Dartmouth was also there or remembers that day.
