There will be bus services until 11pm each evening of regatta.
During the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, South Hams District Council has organised the bus services to avoid congestion in the town.
The Park and Ride operates approximately three-quarters of a mile from the town centre on the A3122 Dartmouth to Totnes Road and will be open from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. except for the following:
• On Saturday, September 1, the buses will run until 11.00 pm.
• On Sunday, September 2, the first bus will be at 9.20 am.
From Tuesday, August 28, until Saturday, September 1, the stop for both picking up and setting down will be outside The Ship in Dock Inn.
During the regatta the Stagecoach Bus Service will run every half an hour each evening until 11pm, and Park and Ride tickets will be valid on any Stagecoach Service.
South Hams District Council have also requested that the Stagecoach service buses make a stop at the Park and Ride bus stop after 7pm each evening.
On Thursday and Friday evenings during the Regatta the usual service buses will be replaced with double-deckers. Notices will be placed at the P&R site, advising customers of the service available.
South Hams District Council permits which will be valid for use at this site are Dartmouth Town Centre permits, Business permits and Park and ride permits.
The cost to park at the Park and Ride during Regatta period will be £5 per vehicle which includes unlimited bus travel all day and parking for up to seven people.
