Felicity Craig, of Newcomen Road, Dartmouth, writes: Huge thanks to Dartmouth Chronicle reporter Karen Perrow for her perceptive and enthusiastic article about my new website, http://www.allchildren">www.allchildren literatebyseven.co.uk, which was published in last week's Chronicle. I couldn't have asked for a better write-up. The only snag is that our friend Google is still not being very cooperative. Type my website details into the middle bar on the Google page, and it will tell you that it 'doesn't match any of their documents' (sigh). However, you can sneak up on them. Go to the top bar on the same page, just to the right of the two arrows, delete Google's own website details, type in mine – http://www.allchildren">www.allchildren literatebyseven.co.uk – and click. That should work. The three books pictured above the article Alphabet Magic: the Tallying Approach to Phonics are on sale at the Community Bookshop in Dartmouth. However, a much cheaper solution is to download them, free of charge, from section four of the website and print them off yourself. In fact, all the essential materials for implementing my Experience Approach to Literacy can be read online and downloaded and printed for free. A main theme of my work is that, instead of worrying about diagnosing dyslexia, we just teach all children, from reception level, as if any single child could be dyslexic. This is because the best methods of teaching dyslexic children are in fact the best methods of teaching all children. It is much cheaper and more positive than the present system of trying to diagnose the condition, then offering extraction lessons, which can often damage a child's self-esteem. They have been doing this in primary schools in East Lothian for several years now, with stunning results. Please feel free to phone me on 01803 834270 if you would like any more information about my work.
