PHILIP TRAYHORN, of Upper Wood Lane, Kingswear, writes:

Having been both an employee and patient of the NHS, I am deeply concerned that our NHS is under threat of increased privatisation. 38 Degrees – an on-line pressure group – has added amendments to the Clinical Commissioning Group's constitution that will protect the NHS from this threat.

There is an online petition that encourages local people to add their name and in doing so show the Government that lots of us are committed to protecting our NHS.

Remember that we pay for our dental care, our eye care and our prescriptions.

Let's hope that we will not have to pay for surgery or other medical help currently 'free of charge' on the NHS.
