Dr Sarah Wollaston has been re-elected MP for the Totnes constituency in Thursday’s general election.

The result was as follows:

Sarah Wollaston, Conservative, 26,972 votes; 53.7 per cent share, up 0.7 per cent from 2015.

Gerry Messer, Labour, 13,495; 26.8 per cent; plus 14.1 per cent

Julian Brazil, Liberal Democrat, 6,466; 12.9 per cent; plus 3.0 per cent

Jacque Hodgson, Green Party, 2,097; 4. per cent; minus 6.1 per cent

Steven Harvey, UKIP, 1,240; 2.5 per cent; minus 11.7 per cent
