TRADERS were faced with having to clean up after party revellers left litter and broken glass in the Old Market, Dartmouth.

But organisers say it is wrong they are taking all the flak, as Dartmouth Town Council should have told its tenants what was happening.

Almost 400 people attended the Classic Channel Regatta supper party with food and live music on Saturday night. But they walked away leaving a trail of rubbish drinks cans and general mess.

Marquees put up for the event also damaged hanging baskets and flowers were squashed or pulled out of pots during the merrymaking, which went on until midnight.
