Explorer cruise ship, National Geographic Orion slipped into the Dart in the early morning mists of Tuesday, August 5th.
She was moored mid-river and her guests were met by Town Crier, Lez Ellis and his wife Liz, on the town pontoon. The first visitors from the vessel came into Dartmouth early morning and many American accents were heard. Her 102 guests are taking excursions which included guided walks around the town and castle via the local ferry, as well as visits to nearby National Trust properties.
It will be a full day for passengers who came on the Orion from Tresco and leave for Alderney in the early evening, as part of an Ireland and Islands expedition.
