A picture by a young girl at school in Dartmouth, is on the front of an MP’s Christmas card.

Megan Langworthy, 10, a pupil at St John the Baptist Primary School, was a joint winner of Dr Sarah Wollaston’s Christmas card competition. The competition was open to all children in the Totnes Constituency which includes chunks of the South Hams District Council and Torbay Unitary Authority.

Megan’s design was chosen to be printed on the front of Dr Wollaston’s Christmas card and a design from an 8 year-old boy from Thurlestone primary school, will be on the back. Megan won a £20 book voucher.

Dr Sarah Wollaston, said: “After much deliberation I chose a picture by Sonny from Thurlestone Primary School and a picture by Megan, from St John the Baptist Primary School at Dartmouth.”

A spokesman for the school said: “A huge thank you goes to one of our teachers, Miss Hubbard who organised the competition in the whole school and to the children for all their effort.”
