DAVID DRURY of Ford Valley, Dartmouth, writes:

What a bunch of miserable, self-centred and sad-faced individuals who live in this town. Every time things are put on people moan and complain. For you who complain, there are other people who live in this town that think musical events create a good feeling that bind the young and the old together.

Would the complainants want vandalism on the streets? At least with music the young don't get bored. They may have a drink or two if they are old enough but at least they are being entertained.

Perhaps when you people buy your houses near a pub where you know music could be played, you should may be re-think where you buy, or simply move to a quiet place like the middle of a desert, where it is very quiet.

Would your complainants like to hear the sound of police sirens, ambulances where gangs and violence are present and you are afraid to go out at night. It doesn't happen here, so be thankful that it is only the sound of music that is noisy. Especially from the local band who wanted to play for a man of Dartmouth.

As for spoiling a memorial event that was for the family and friends of Robert (Bruno) who lived in our town and was so tragically taken a year ago. What I will say to you miserable, self centred and sad faced individuals is, you should be ashamed of yourselves and you don't deserve to live in such a beautiful town where people care about their own.
