FUN and games brought people together at Townstal Community Hall, Dartmouth.
More than 60 people took part in a family fun day last Friday where they were able to enjoy activities, learn new skills, make new friends and share information and ideas.
The day was organised by social housing provider DCH and with Townstal Community Partnership.
Lots of local families went along to enjoy the free fun activities, which included circus skills such as plate spinning, juggling, diablo and unicycling.
People were also able to try their hands at cupcake decorating, which delivered some impressive designs, while younger children had fun on the junior bouncy castle.
Among those present was county and district councillor Jonathan Hawkins, representatives from the Guinness Trust, St John Ambulance, the Citizens Advice Bureau and Circus into Schools.
Charlotte Grosvenor, DCH community development worker, said: 'DCH are excited to be able to work closely with local groups to offer events like this to our residents and the local community.
'We were really pleased so many people came along and accessed the information available, learnt a new skill, met some new people and had lots of fun.
'I'd like to give a big thank you to all the volunteers who made it happen and special thanks to George Holdsworth for all his hard work in the kitchen on the day and Helen Snowden for the yummy cake.'
Last year, DCH launched its community investment strategy, which sets out the organisation's vision for future investment in Devon and Cornwall over the next five years. Key programmes within the strategy focus on positive communities and delivering projects alongside its residents and partners.
Supporting local events such as this helps DCH to work with local people to create great places to live, added Charlotte.
