Kingswear's fun regatta weekend has made a £1,000 life saving difference to the Dart Inshore Lifeboat.
The cash, raised during the popular village event, was presented to the lifeboat last weekend.
Cash from the regatta also went toward the annual village fireworks display and Kingswear Rowing Club.
Kingswear regatta treasure Catriona Brat-ten explained: 'The regatta tries to raise money for local charities, individuals, events and organisations.
'This year the regatta sponsored a children's entertainer for the diamond jubilee street party and on Friday presented Peter Burr of Kingswear Combined Charities with £600 towards the firework display.
'Steve Ainsworth, chairman of Kingswear Rowing Club, which provides and organises the four-oared boats raced at regatta, was pleased to accept £800 towards their maintenance.
Catriona began the presentations by thanking all the sponsors and supporters of the regatta including Caterfoods, the Steam Packet Inn, Darthaven Marina, Kingswear Parish Council, Noss Marina, the Ship Inn.
Also Brixham Wine Cellars, By the Dart, Charles Head, Chris Hoyle Marine, Sue and Mark Clayton-Smith, Dartmouth Steam, River and Rail Co., Dartmouth Yacht Charters, Ian Fenton, Kingswear Builders, Kingswear Primary School, Ray and Jayne Licence, Lynne Maurer and Roly Boyden, Alex Phillips, Russ Wyman Construction and the Royal Dart.
She also pointed out that Kingswear Regatta will be held over the weekend of June 29 and 30 next year.
