I recently visited Dartmouth and wandered along its narrow streets as any tourist does.

My attention was drawn to a wonderful building in Fairfax Place. It had a very decorative front and there was an unusual picture of a boat.

This has puzzled me and I have not found reference to this anywhere in your local history websites.

Although I am from Berkshire, I like to find out about the history of places in Devon.

I just wondered if anyone knows anything about it.
