I live aboard a yacht which we have overwintered in Dart­mouth and I feel compelled to write in support of the harbourmaster and his excellent team.

We have received a warm and professional welcome from the harbour office team who have cared a great deal for us over the months we have lived in the town.

We enjoy Dartmouth a great deal and the people therein.

I am shocked therefore at the level of railing against the harbourmaster.

Local politics and history aside, there are more important issues we all need to address.
