Di and Gerry O'Brien, of Seymour Drive, Dartmouth, write:
We would like to add our objection to the development of the West Dartmouth proposal.
We cannot think of one advantage in building this housing/industrial complex in Dartmouth, and agree with all the objections already mentioned in your article of March 15.
The one point that we feel should be emphasised is that Millwood Homes is not the problem, it is the South Hams councillors who voted that the development should go ahead in the first place who are the problem. How many of them actually live in Dartmouth?
A development of this size should be considered for Plymouth or Exeter, which have the infrastructure to absorb the extra population, jobs, roads etc.
If the voters of this beautiful town would go to the polls and vote, we could put in councillors that would listen to the wishes of the residents.
