Stevie Rogers, chairman of Dartmouth in Bloom, writes:
Readers will have noticed the large number of hanging baskets which have been placed around the town by Dartmouth in Bloom and their helpers.
Many of these baskets have been sponsored each year in the past but not all have renewed their sponsorship.
As we do not have complete records we would appreciate it if you would get in touch if this is the case.
This will ensure that your plaque remains in place.
Some of the stanchions on which the baskets are placed have had to be removed as they are not safe – such as those along the Higher Street/ Newcomen Road slip.
We have also moved some stanchions to Bayards Cove from the area in front of the greenhouse which is being developed as a potager garden.
Some people may have specified a particular location which is no longer available.
Again, please get in touch and we will make every effort to place your plaque in a suitable place.
If you would like to sponsor baskets or any of the new Dartmouth in Bloom planters which you can see along the riverfront, we would be delighted to hear from you.
