GOLDEN Horizon – the world’s largest square-rigged vessel – has had to postpone her much-anticipated visit to Dartmouth Harbour on Monday, July 5.

It’s now hoped she will visit the town on July 11.

She was due to visit as part of her maiden voyage around South West UK.

Tricia Daniels, Cruise Advisor to Dart Harbour, said: "The Harbour has just been advised that, due to unforeseen operational reasons, the Golden Horizon has been forced to cancel its visit on Monday July 5 into Dartmouth.

“We know there is a lot of interest in seeing this ship, so further information will be posted on Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority’s Facebook page in due course. We currently understand that she’ll be arriving on July 11."

Plans are afoot for Golden Horizon to visit Dartmouth Harbour three times this summer.
