H. John Mitchell, of Clarence Hill, Dartmouth, writes:
I do not want to be one to deprecate what has been the long and illustrious term of Dartmouth's town clerk, Chris Horan. However, he might be as surprised as myself to learn in last week's paper that with the Flavel project he 'was the leading light and inspiration for it all to happen.'
From its inception to its opening, the town and district councils were at best luke warm and at worst destructive to the creation of the Flavel centre. All is amply chronicled in the Flavel archives and it is hoped to shortly publish a short history of its curious birth.
Please then leave any praise only to the many who worked so hard to make it happen.
