A 23-year-old man accused of threatening to burn down a home in Dartmouth has been remanded in custody by magistrates.

Andrew Prout, of Creek Road, Dartmouth, has pleaded not guilty to threatening to burn down the home of Stephanie Mills at Dartmouth on March 7.

He has also denied harassing Stephanie Mills at Dartmouth between February 1 and March 8.

Prout also faces a third charge of threatening Leo Drury with a blade in Windsor Road, Dartmouth, on February 2.

The case was adjourned by Torquay Magistrates Court to Tuesday, April 16, when proceedings to commit the case to the crown court are expected to go ahead.
