Cllr Richard Cooke, chairman of the Henley Trust, writes: One of your readers appears to think that Dartmouth Town Council is selling off its historical 'family silver'., Keep history of town together, May 16. The story of the Guildhall, familiar to your regular readers, is that it is expensive to taxpayers to maintain and generates relatively little income. Nevertheless, a working group of councillors is looking for ways to improve this and will report soon. As for the Henley collection, I can reassure your writer that it is catalogued and curated excellently by the Dartmouth Museum, and funded by the Henley Trust.
